Summation notation question?
By definition, sigma (i = 1 to n) of i = n(n+1)/2 but how and why does sigma (i = 1 to n-1) of i= n(n-1)/2 I don't understand what steps need to be taken in order to account for the nontraditional 1-n bounds.
